Definition of International Land Transport Projects within MERCOSUR
The need to present studies/evidence in the submissions presented for deliberation at the Mercosur Sub-Working Group (SGT No. 5) “Transport”, integrating actions that identify issues of interest to Brazil and the harmonization of international transport operation procedures involving the countries that integrate the Mercosur bloc, has made this project an innovative action within ANTT.
Thus, the main goal of this project is to define, together with the organizational units, transport projects or best regulatory practices for presentation at the aforementioned Sub-Working Group (SGT No. 5).
The expected results are numerous, such as increasing celerity in joint decision-making, reaching more assertive and qualified decisions, promoting joint decision-making based on evidence/studies and greater integration between countries.
Such results have increasingly strengthened the Mercosur bloc's international integration and increased its efforts to ensure the best practices in disciplining and enforcing international transport activities in the sector.
Instruments Framework: Improvement Initiatives
- Related strategic objectives:
SO2 - Ensure adequate land transport services through effective regulation and enforcement;
SO13 - Strengthening responsive regulation and monitoring.
Áreas envolvidas: SUROC (Cargo), SUPAS (Passengers), SUFIS (Inspection) e SUTEC (Informatics).

- Dissemination of harmonized decisions, actions and good practices regarding International Road Transport
The practice of internal and external dissemination of guidelines, actions or activities developed and agreed regarding land transport operations between countries should be seen as an important and effective tool, when well planned.
Widening the dissemination of knowledge concerning the actions and projects developed under the scope of international land transport, providing a comprehensive perspective to the interested party on the subject, highlighting examples of good practices and success stories, through the publication of clear and objective language materials.
In this context, ANTT, particularly the international area, using existing channels (for example, Intranet; Electronic News Panels; the Social Media and the Agency website; TRI System; Forums and Meetings with the Regulated Sector), seeks to improve the dissemination of actions or activities developed or agreed among countries, ensuring the active transparency of ANTT and increasingly the protagonists participation to strengthen the sector, also observing the current normative guidelines for information access.

- Related strategic objective: OPG3 - Ensure active transparency
